  1. Great episode brothers. I had a sports ministry at one time. I used to do chapels and Bible studies for the Dodgers, Angels, Clippers, Lakers, Rams, and Raiders. There are lots of believers in sports and they struggle with the same things we all do. In front of fans they have to act like nothing bothers them because people can say some pretty hateful things to them. But in the locker room and away from the spotlight they can let their guard down. In many ways their battles are different than most of us, but really, in every way they are just like you and me, and they need prayer and fellowship too.

Thanks for the comment Jim! I’m sure many players were blessed through your ministry. We have sampled some of it by listening from your Podcast.

  2. Great podcast! The invaluable leadership of a God-fearing coach is, as I stated, undeniable. It definitely goes way beyond the gridiron, court, or course. A faith-based sports program wins souls for eternity, not just championships, banners, and rings that collect dust. My dad is a prime example. At every school he has coached, he leaves a lasting legacy. Has he won league titles and championships, sure. But what matters most to him is the heart and mind of his players. Even now, at 70 years old, he is coaching high school football. They finished with a .500 record. But he is impacting these public school kids lives by holding bible studies at his house every week. He gives them the x’s and o’s, but more importantly he gives the Word of Life! I appreciate you guys discussing a great topic. Keep up the good work. God bless!!
